Fashion Friday: Prom!!

Today I'm linking up with Kori at Blonde Episodes for Fashion Friday!! My main fashion interests right now are PROM DRESSES! With prom 1 month away, everyone (especially the girls) is freaking out on what they're going to wear and who they're going to go with. Tons of girls were asked this week and while I'm happy for them, I want to be asked so badly!!! This is my first prom and I'm really excited!!

This was my beginning choice for prom. I love this dress so much (I got it during the fabulous End of Summer Sale from Lilly last year) and I've never worn it before.

The blue is so pretty and I love the white eyelit on top. I don't know if I'm going to choose this dress though. There are so many options!!

My second prom pick was the Jacqueline Dress Embroidered from Lilly. The pink is adorable, it's quite short (which I LOVE) and the embroidery is to die for! I'm thinking that I might wear this to graduation, though.

The last dress is the new Worth Shift from Lilly in Dark n' Stormy. I love this dress. Love, love, love. I remember seeing it in the miniature catalog that they send to all Lilly stores a couple of weeks ago, and it stood out to me! The scary thing is that it comes out on May 25, and prom is June 6. My mom pre-ordered it thankfully!

I can go on about this dress all day. I love the colors, the print is so cute (it has the recipe for a Dark n' Stormy on it!), and I love how short it is!! I'm trying to find the perfect accessories for it (shoes, jewelry...I can't choose between gold or silver to wear with it!), and I'll keep y'all updated on Prom 2011!!

On another note, I'm assuming everyone watched the Royal Wedding this morning!! My mom watched the whole thing, but I only watched from 6:15 ET on. I LOVED Kate's dress. It looked so much like Grace Kelly's wedding dress (and as y'all know, Grace Kelly is my icon beyond icons...) and it was very classy and elegant!! She and William are too cute together!!

Also, this is the last day to enter my dahl house giveaway! The winner will be selected tomorrow, and I'll contact them immediately after.

Have a fabulous weekend!!

Lilly Outfit of the Week!

I have a mannequin in my room (named "Lilly") that is fun to dress up, and from now on, every Thursday I'm going to post the "Lilly" outfit of the week!!

Ironically, Lilly's outfit is actually Lilly Pulitzer. The skirt is from last year (and I haven't had a chance to wear it), but it's long and pink and so pretty!! The oxford is from Rugby.

Don't forget to enter my dahl house giveaway!! Tomorrow is the last day to enter!!!

Have a great day!!

Vanderbilt!!

Sunday afternoon, my dad and I left for Nashville, TN to visit the absolutely wonderful Vanderbilt University! It wasn't my first time visiting the school (in fact it was my second time this school year), and I love it even more than I did before!! The reason I visited Vandy was for their Black and Gold Day. It's basically a mini college visiting day that includes an information/financial aid session, a tour, an activities fair, and a panel with the presidents of the 4 schools of Vandy.

It started raining when our walking tour began!!

Both of the tour guides that I've had at Vandy were fantastic!! They each had different things to say and I found out a lot of new information that I had never heard before!! The picture above was a sneakily taken photo of the tour guide by my dad.

This trip came at such an ideal time because I needed to be super inspired to finish off the end of my junior year strong. From now until the end of the year, I have 3 final projects, 1 research paper, 4 exams, 2 AP's, SAT's and SAT II's, and ACT's! After refreshing my memory with the standards that Vanderbilt upholds in terms of their admissions (their regular decision acceptance rate is 15.6%!!), I am now fully ready to take on the rest of this year and make my transcript look GREAT for college!!!

Have a great day everyone!!

Say Yes to the Dress: Princesses

Last night I was watching a special edition of Say Yes to the Dress where they featured the most high maintenance "princesses" that they've had. I was so shocked at some of the girls!! They were insane!! But, with the princess theme, I looked up the Disney Princess wedding dresses by Alfred Angelo.

Ariel
As much as I love The Little Mermaid, I don't like mermaid style wedding dresses!!

Sleeping Beauty
Sleeping Beauty is my favorite Disney Princess, but this wedding dress is just...okay. I'm not too excited about the feather-y looking skirt, and it's soo big!!

Belle
This dress is really pretty, it's just not really my style. I'm not a big fan of rhinestones on wedding dresses!

Cinderella
I love this dress. Love. Love. LOVE. It's beyond pretty. The skirt is big but not too big, the top is gorgeous, I JUST LOVE THIS DRESS.

Jasmine
The Jasmine dress is my least favorite out of all of them. It doesn't look like a wedding dress!!

Snow White
I really like the Snow White Dress. The flowery designs on the skirt aren't my favorite but everything else I like!!

Which dress is y'alls favorite?? Let me know1!

I love Fornash!!

I have recently fallen in love with the brand Fornash! It's so cute and preppy and goes perfectly with all my Lilly!!
These also come in black and white but the pink are (of course) my favorite! The detail is so pretty, and I have to support Republican pride!

I never wear hoops, but I really like the ones shown above. There are a lot more colors offered.

So pretty!!

These remind me of larger Kate Spade colored earrings!!

These are so pretty!!

I love how the necklace shown above comes with the earrings!! I love them both!!

What do y'all like from Fornash?? Let me know!!

Into the Woods!

Friday night was the opening night of my school's spring musical, Into the Woods!! We have 1 more shows (this afternoon), and I am having so much fun. I've spent this entire week at school until late at night trying to get the show ready, and it turned out so well for the past two nights!! Here are some of the pictures from the after party at our director's house:

And some from backstage...

Rent the Runway

So apparently there's a website where you can rent designer dresses for a fraction of the cost for events!! I'm in shock!! All my friends are freaking out about prom (even though it's almost 6 weeks away...) and one of them showed me the website Rent the Runway. They have designers ranging from Diane von Furstenburg to Vera Wang to LILLY PULITZER. How did I not know about this!?!?

Dolly Lace Shift Dress
Thank goodness I have this dress! It's a potential prom dress (more on PROM (!!!) later!!).
Nadia Dress Pattern
I really liked this dress, but unfortunately it wasn't very flattering on me!! Still cute!!

Eyrn Dress Stripe
This dress is so pretty! Now, these 3 dresses aren't the only ones by Lilly Pulitzer on Rent the Runway, there are about 5 more available. Check it out!!

Have a great day!!

Pink Kate Spade Shoes

I have the weirdest feet ever (post-bunion surgery on both feet) and I've never really been a shoe shopaholic (like my best friend - she's legitimately OBSESSED). I just prefer to webshop for them and admire!! Kate Spade has the cutest shoes (though expensive) and this season they have adorable hot pink sandales and flats!
Vonya

Looove these. I like how the sandal will actually stay on because of the ankle strap, and I love the mini-heel!!
Hula Too
There is a PINEAPPLE on this sandal!! It's so cute!! Give me a pink shoe with faux diamonds and I'm sold!

Tipsy
At my school, we're not allowed to wear "opened toed" shoes (which is awfully unfortunate because I can't wear Jack Rogers...), so instead I have to find adorable flats!! I love the pink at the toe of this flat!! It's so bright!!

I hope everyone has a fantastic day!!
