Hokay...SUPER huge post! I found some super sneaky pictures of the NEW Lilly Pulitzer collection for Fall 2012! I hope y'all enjoy!
I'm OBSESSED with a capital O with the elephant print on the tank top shown above!
The middle dress is so pretty!
Looove the dress on the left!
Again, love the print on the shirt on the right! And the shirt!
That pink blazer is too cute!
Super cute dress on the left!
That middle dress. Oh my goodness gracious.
Cute tops for college!
Pretty dress on the left!
The shirt in the middle is adorable!
What do I think of the new Fall 2012 collection? I like it. Lilly has officially taken a different direction in their look, as well as target clients. There are a few dresses and shirts that I like from the line, and the some prints are pretty, but I'm not completely obsessed with the entire collection. Who knows, though? Things often look much different in person!
What do y'all like from the new Lilly Pulitzer Fall collection? Comment with y'alls opinions!
Have a great day!!

I am in love with the Arina dress. I can't wait for it to come out. I'm really hoping that I like it as much in person as I do in the pictures.
ReplyDeleteLOVE all of these looks! I really do! :) I'm a huge fan of the colors and patterns
ReplyDeleteI'm actually not a huge fan of the look book! Usually I liked printed things more, but most of the things I like for fall are solid and similar to things that you could buy elsewhere..not very Lilly!
ReplyDeleteI like the collection. Lilly is definitely steering away from its original style though and I'm really not a fan of that. I saw the collection yesterday and was literally sooooo excited when I saw that elephant print! It is GREAT! There are a couple dresses in there that I think would be cute, but overall (and this is so hard to say) I'm kind of disappointed in the brand.
ReplyDeleteI completely agree
Deletewow... a few gorgeous tops. But, I agree it definitely feels different than past fall seasons.
ReplyDeleteWhen will this line debut?
ReplyDeleteJuly 25th, August 25th, and September 25th
DeleteBecause my school does rush in January, many of these pieces would work very well! I keep my eye on a few I might need, especially the Delilah dress as we wear nude/pink dresses or skirts for house tours!
ReplyDeleteWait I LOVE the dress on the right on still #30....this is an amazing collection. Do you know when it is going to be released?
ReplyDeleteNothing I have to have! No Adelsons, Shaunas, Stephanie shifts, pretty printed Murfees.
ReplyDeleteThat lipstick printed shirt is cute, but I can't see myself wearing it.
Can I just buy it all? Thanks for sharing! I've been scouring the web for fall lookbooks, but I couldn't find Lilly's.
ReplyDeleteI am loving the elephant print! I will definitely have to get something in that! I also like the colorblocked Elsas.

Ah, I love the Marielle dress! I don't know, though, not a huge fan of A/W Lilly; it's really not her forte.
ReplyDeleteI think Lilly has gone in a different direction... the line isn't bad, its just not very Lilly! Although they might just be trying to accommodate a larger audience of consumers. Do you agree? And who else is noticing that the price is INSANELY raising? I do like some of the prints, though!
ReplyDeleteLilly was (somewhat) recently bought by Tommy Bahama, and my mother and I have noticed that since that change in ownership, the quality as diminished, the prices have skyrocketed, and the clothes have strayed from their loved niche. I am so disappointed in everything that has happened to Lilly, and I don't understand why the brand wants to alienate their previous faithful client base. They are distancing themselves from prospective buyers, and the biggest problem about the "new" Lilly is THERE IS NO SHIFT DRESS. That is what sparked the brand! Why remove the one thing that has been loved for over 50 years!?!!? I could go on forever about this!
DeleteOh my gosh you are right! Hopefully this is just Tommy Bahama experimenting with a new direction. Once they notice that this act of desperation to get customers by changing the traditional look of the brand isn't working, pray that Lilly returns to its original style of dress!
DeleteThanks for posting this. I was wondering what her Fall line was going to be like. I am not completely obsessed with everything...but I think Fall isn't really Lilly's forte...spring and summer are. She still did a wonderful job of supplying us with wonderful holiday and party like dresses...so thanks to her I won't have to worry about shopping around for the perfect dress.
ReplyDeleteThanks again Hannah!
Here's the thing. Ever since the acquisition, I've noticed that the dresses and skirts are shorter, the prints are less unique, and the prices are outrageously high. I have a hard time buying something from Lilly Pulitzer when I could get it from another reputable brand for the same price (better quality, too). While I like the elephant top, it is very reminiscent of the Joie elephant print circa 2010 (and Elizabeth McKay's elephant print). I'd rather have my Lilly printed shift.
ReplyDeleteI don't understand what they're doing to the brand. Lilly Pulitzer spent years branding itself to be the quintessential printed shift/skirt retailer. What is it trying to be now? It seems so confused. While I understand the pressure to sell more clothing, I think it will hurt the brand in the long-run. I don't want any of these items. I'd rather get a classic dress from Milly (better quality for the same price!).
Great blog!
I've emailed the brand to express my frustration and I recommend doing the same if you are as displeased as I am. Maybe Fall clothing is not their forte, but I feel like most of this collection could be found in any department store for a quarter of the price. I'm so upset that this brand I have loved and worn my whole life is designing such common clothing. Lilly's Fall collection is really pitiful. I hope they return to their original designs and prices!
ReplyDeleteI agree with all of the comments above and did express my frustration with Lily, hopefully they will see the type of feedback they are getting and make a smart change.
DeleteI really like it! I agree that Lilly has changed (I blame Sugartown). But I think that they have some really cute items coming in. Hey, I might even go to homecoming this year because I really want to wear a couple of the dresses!
ReplyDeleteRe: Anonymous, I totally agree. Although I did read that Lilly Pulitzer is more profitable now than it ever has been! I imagine profits will carry more weight than disgruntled loyalists, which is very sad and unfortunate.
ReplyDeleteAnother thing -- since when did Lilly skirts, shorts, and dresses get SO short!? I tried on a pair of shorts and they barely covered my bum. This is not classy, Lilly!! Why is it so hard to find classic, *conservative* Lilly pieces nowadays? If I wanted short skirts and booty shorts, I'd shop elsewhere; I wouldn't spend $80 on Lilly stuff.
I rarely like their Fall stuff, I love the elephant print but other than that I agree the prints are not unique and look cheap.
ReplyDeleteI'm loving these new looks! I think all the navy looks really nice and classic as well as some of the different silhouettes they're working with

I agree with many comments and the new direction LP has taken since the Tommy Bahama buy. The quality of fabrics have been diminished, but prices increased. With the 2012 spring line there were many pieces constructed with a polyester blend, which I believe has not been done before with LP. This has continued over into the fall line as well. I just have a hard time paying $150 for a shirt made out of polyester!
ReplyDeleteI've literally come back to this page 10 times! I'm so excited for their fall collection!!! Thanks for posting it! Obsessed with your blog! xoxo

Hello There,
ReplyDeleteI am completely obsessed with lilly and have a lot of her stuff but am wondering if you have a recommendation for another less expensive brand that has that cute pink and green lily style! (besides the obvious like Vera Bradley and Kate Spade)
Thank You Bunches!
