Summer Outfits

Summer is my favorite season because of the sun and the outfits I get to wear! It sounds very shallow, but I love the colors and choices available for fun summer outfits.

The two outfits shown above are kind of my go-to things to wear for the past couple of weeks. I got the denim mini at the J. Crew outlet (on super sale...I love it!) and I can pair it with SO MANY tops! I like the J. Crew gingham shirt because it's really light and comfortable, and I also like to wear the skirt with a v-neck t-shirt (like this one at Vineyard Vines). The second outfit is one of my favorites. The white eyelet top was honestly the best purchase of the year from Lilly Pulitzer, I wear it all of the time with so many shorts/pants! The shorts shown above are so pretty because of the scalloped edge and I just am obsessed with the print. I really only wear sandals in the summer, and I am so happy about buying the Kate Spade sandals shown above. They were on super sale (yay!) and they're really comfortable. Jack Rogers are, of course, my go-to shoes!

While half of the time I am in shorts and a cute top, the other half of the time I am in a Lilly Pulitzer dress. I am a huge fan of the classic shift dress paired with Jack's. It's comfortable, flattering, and I always recieve compliments on the fun Lilly prints. Otherwise, if I'm going out with friends, I like to wear really fun dresses, such as my favorite dress shown above on the right. It's the Georgie Dress from Lilly, and it's honestly the best. It's so summery!! I can also wear it with any sandals I want!

For more casual days, I am usually in nike shorts and a T-shirt or a bikini! I love Lilly and Vineyard Vines bikinis, especially the bandeau styles. I like to pack all my tanning/pool accessories in a tote bag (most likely one from Lilly). When I'm just hanging out at home, I'm always wearing a t-shirt and norts. It's the most comfortable outfit EVER!

What do y'all wear in the summer? Any favorite combinations? Let me know!

Have a fabulous summer day!

Completely finished: Tiffany lock, "H", Candy Cane, Eiffel  Tower, Horse Shoe, Sun Hat, Vespa, Cross, Palm Tree, Cupcake, Steering Wheel, Mittens, Cowboy Boot, Class of 2012

The charm bracelet is finally finished! I got it at 8th grade graduation, and my last charm was the Class of 2012 charm that I received exactly 4 years later. It's so weird to have it be completely full!

Have a great day!

Senior Scrapbook

Shortly after Spring Break, my group of friends and I bought scrapbooks to memorialize our 4 years of high school together. It has taken me 3 months, but I am finally finished with mine! I've worked really
hard on it and I'm very, very proud of it! Here is my senior scrapbook!

I am not a huge fan of the UT-orange color of the book itself, but I think it looks better with the pink insert!

Have a great day!!

My Favorite iPad Apps

Hi y'all! Sorry I haven't been posting. I went to North Carolina to visit my grandmother and I didn't have any posts queued! I have been spending a lot of time on my iPad recently, especially since it's easy to carry around and I like to use it to read while I'm sitting outside. Here are some of my favorite apps that I've come across!!

CraftStudio is a new app that I've found that was created by Martha Stewart. You can make personalized cards to save or send to people! I think it's a really cute idea, and it's a lot of fun to play around with!

Diptic is an app that combines your photos together so you can upload them to Instagram. It's nice for Outfit of the Day posts because you don't have to upload multiple pictures for one outfit! I also used Diptic to combine all of my prom/graduation photos for the background to my iPad and computer!

Draw Something is my new addiction. Seriously, I've been playing it for the past 2 days straight. I think it's SO MUCH FUN and my brother and I are already on the 184th turn!

Instagram is my alltime favorite app ever, I cannot get enough of it. I often steal my parents iPhones (since I don't have one yet! ahhhh!!) just so I can use instagram. It is my favorite picture app for the iPad, hands down!

Logos Quiz is really difficult but I love it! You have to guess the logos for a trillion different companies and brands! I have gotten to all 8 levels but I am nowhere near close to guessing everything! It's so hard!

My Fitness Pal is what I'm going to be using for a while since I've been eating delicious Southern food without exercising! I have been an avid Lose It! supporter but I loooove the My Fitness Pal app. It's super easy to use and the layout is really nice! If you're looking for an app to track your weight, food, and exercise, this is definitely my top choice!

EasyBake Treats is a super childish yet amazingly fun app where you "bake" either cookies, cupcakes, or cake and then decorate it! I love it!

The Pinterest app is really good, even though it's in the iPhone format for iPad. It's great for pinning on the go!

Wall About You is another addiction of mine. You can make monogrammed backgrounds for yourself by choosing a background, a font, a type of monogram, and tons of different colors!

What iPad/iPhone apps do y'all like? Anything I should know about? Let me know!!

Have a great day!

The Biggest Dorm Room Preparation Post of All Time

Goodness gracious! For the past week, my mom and I have been getting everything set up for my dorm room in the fall! I've been getting really excited, but it's been hard to think of every little thing possible for the room! I don't find out my room mate or freshman dorm until the middle of July, so I can't really coordinate anything or plan anything with them. I'm trying to get everything done before I go on vacation, and also before everything is sold out! SO, I finally am posting everything that I have for my dorm room! I hope this helps future freshman! Also, if any college students/graduates are reading this, can you please comment with anything that I may have missed? Thanks so much! Enjoy!!

Monogrammed towels...

Trays for...whatever? It can hold pretty much anything from hair accessories and makeup to random items!

Rubber flip flops for the shower. I'm not taking my chances about walking on those floors!!

Lilly Pulitzer foldable bins for clothes, shoes, anything!

Laundry bag and bags for delicates...I have another huge laundry bag being monogrammed right now as well.

My wall goodies! I have two mini posters, a magnet board, a picture board, and a dry-erase board.

Folders, notebooks, and sticky notes. I really don't know what people use in college in terms of binders, notebooks, etc. so if anyone has any input, please let me know!!

A jewelry box! I don't wear much jewelry and the box is bigger then it looks, so it will definitely carry everything.

A pencil case...

Just boxes...they're going to hold printer paper and regular lined paper.

More storage containers and bins...

A trash can with a sticker monogram...

A fan...

I have some picture frames...the pink and green one is Lilly (of course) and the white also comes in pink and green! I got it from TJ Maxx and it's so cute!!

Hangers...

In order to have all of my storage stuff in my room, I have to lift the bed!

Drawer organizer...

I just got this lamp from Target yesterday! It's super cute!

Okay there is a lot of stuff in this picture so I'm going to explain it all. The removal wall hooks are for bags, etc. I also have a shower poof thing (I don't know the actual name!), razors, nail files, Advil, a digital alarm clock, batteries, cotton balls, and band-aids.

Ziplock bags, trash bags, chip clips, and cough drops!

Here are my desk accessories! I have a mini desk hutch, a pair of scissors, a stapler and staples, tape, sharpies, and tons of sticky notes@

Here is a lot of the dorm room stuff in a large plastic container from the Container Store. I bought 3 large and long containers to go under my bed for clothes/other things.

For food!

I thought this was adorable...

A hair styling storage system. Such a good idea!

A shower caddy...

More stuff in the plastic boxes...

Now onto my bedding!

More plastic boxes...

Here is the before picture before everything was put up nicely...
