I Just Love Volunteer Traditions, Okay!

I really, really love Volunteer Traditions. If y'all haven't heard of them, shame on you! They are a great brand based in my lovely homestate of Tennessee, and they offer "Southern state pride" products ranging from t-shirts to croakies to flip flops. They have the best customer service that I have come across hands down, as well! Here are some of my favorite items recently:

Since I'm living in North Carolina for the next 4 years, I've got to start representing my new state!

Black and Gold pride!!

I have this t-shirt, just for Tennessee instead of North Carolina. I have absolutely worn it out! Definitely one of my favorites of all time!

This is a new Tennessee t-shirt that I think is adorable! Since it's getting colder here in Winston-Salem, I've been wearing more and more long sleeved tees!

What do y'all like from Volunteer Traditions? Let me know!

Have a lovely day!

iPhone 5 Cases

Y'all I'm so excited. When my parents come down to Wake for Parents Weekend on Thursday, they're bringing my brand new IPHONE 5! Eeek! I'm way too excited to the point of ridiculousness. Y'all have known of my battle with my enemy, the Blackberry. Finally I get to be like everyone else I know and have the iPhone! YAY!

But, with a newly released iPhone comes newly released iPhone cases. More will come out eventually since it's only been a couple of weeks since the iPhone 5 was announced, but Nordstrom already has Kate Spade iPhone 5 cases!

Aren't they adorable? Perfect for decorating my new cell phone!

Have a great day!

Top 5 Favorite T-Shirt Brands

Since I'm in college, it's assumed that I literally live in t-shirts...and for the most part, it's true. They are comfy and cute and I cannot wait for the moment I can change into my t-shirt and norts! I have my favorite, go-to brands for the best shirts, and they never let me down!

(1) Southern Point Co: Great for really soft, "state-pride" t-shirts. I have 2 shirts by them and I love them! Just a warning: the small is HUGE, pretty much a regular M-L for any other brand.

(2) Vineyard Vines: Gotta love the mens section!

(3) Southern Proper: I can't get enough of this brand. I am always so excited when they come out with new t-shirt designs!

(4) Southern Tide: It's safe to say that Wake Forest guys and girls have a love affair with Southern Tide. It's EVERYWHERE. I have a few of their t-shirts and they're probably my favorite out of all of the brands shown!

(5) Southern Marsh: I got my first Southern Marsh t-shirt the other week and I love it! Plus their ads are adorable!

What t-shirts do y'all like? Let me know!!

Have a lovely day!

Top 5 Favorite Items for Fall

I'm actually really, really excited for fall and I'm not too happy that it's not cold here yet! Every day it gets a little bit chillier, but not chilly enough! Here are my top 5 favorite items for fall.

(1) I love blazers, especially when they're dressed down with a cami and skinny jeans. My favorite one is my blackwatch blazer from J. Crew. They have a great selection!

(2) I actually wore the Patagonia vest in the picture above was barely cold enough to get by with wearing it! I honestly believe I'm going to be living in vests this fall because they're so easy and convinent. I like wearing them with a long sleeved t-shirt and leggings. Vineyard Vines has my favorite vests and J. Crew has really cute ones this season!

(3) Dark skinny jeans. Enough said.

(4) Y'all know my obsession with riding boots and I really want the temperature to drop so it's acceptable for me to wear them!

(5) Scarves, specifically murfee scarves from Lilly Pulitzer, are great for layering and adding a little extra something to an otherwise simple outfit. I looove the state print Murfee scarves (I need to order a North Carolina one!) as well as the elephant Murfette scarf.

What do y'all like wearing in the fall? Let me know!!
Have a great day!

Lifeguard Press Goodies

Y'all know that I am a huge fan of Lifeguard Press, especially their Lilly Pulitzer line! I was recently sent some adorable Lilly for LP goodies, such as the miniature speaker and the highlighter/pen set. They're both perfect for college girls!

The speaker is really cute, and you just plug it into your iPod/iPhone/ easy. Just as a sidenote, it requires 2 AAA batteries (that aren't included), so don't forget them! It's really nice to have music playing in my dorm room, and this speaker makes it so much better!

I am an avid note taker, and I use highlighters like it's my job. Seriously. I love that LP has a highlighter with a pen on the other end! It's very convenient!

I love my new items from Lifeguard Press. Check them out and let me know what y'all think! What are y'alls favorite items from LP?

Also, another sidenote, I know I haven't been posting as regularly/as in depth as usual, but it's crazy here in Winston-Salem! If y'all want to know what's going on, just follow me on Twitter!

Have a lovely day!

Gameday: UNC

Yesterday was another game day, but it was even more exciting because Wake Forest was playing UNC!

It was disgustingly hot and humid (hence the ponytails), but instead of going to the student tailgate, we visited a couple of our friends' parents' tailgates!

Our friends painted themselves black and gold so they could get on TV (they did!!!). It was SO nice though, because they sat in the first row and my friends and I sat 2nd row!

We did have a severe weather warning right before the game started, so it was actually delayed an hour.  It was storming like crazy and we had to evacuate.

But we ended up BEATING CAROLINA!!!!!!!!!!!!! GO DEACS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Best game day ever!!!!

Have a great Sunday!

College Organization

Hi y'all! I hope everyone is having a great week so far. One of the things that I've had to change now that I'm in college was how I organize and store my clothes. I can honestly say that I brought a fair amount of clothes...not too much, but definitely not too little. Here are some pictures of how I have everything organized!

This is such a cool way of storing my growing collection of t-shirts! I completely stole the idea from my friend aPe, but it's so nice! You can fit a ton of t-shirts in a very small space by folding them a certain way. Check out Pinterest for more ideas!

Okay, my closet looks really messy, but I swear it's not. I have my dresses on the left side, my shirts on multi-hangers in the middle, and bottoms on the right. I also have a really cool hanger for scarves somewhere in there! My shoes are in the bin in the bottom of the closet, and my heels are in shoe bags in another bin to keep them protected. I have cowboy boots and rainboots in their somewhere as well. When it gets colder, Madre is going to send me more fall/winter appropriate gear (riding boots, jackets, sweaters), but it's still hot and humid here in Winston-Salem so I'll be waiting a while.

On the top of my closet, I have various sweaters and vests. Nothing special in how I organize them though!

How do y'all organize things in your dorm room? Any suggestions? Let me know!

Have a great day!

What to Wear to Class

I've finally! gotten into the groove of choosing my outfits for class! My schedule is actually really good, so I'll explain how I choose what to wear with what classes I take for each day.

On Mondays, Wednesdays, and Fridays, I have 3-4 classes per day. So, since I'll be out and about, I like to dress cuter than I would if I were just going to the library or the gym.

On Tuesdays and Thursdays, I only have 1 class in the morning, so I'll just wake up and put a t-shirt or norts/yoga pants. Soo much better!

What do y'all like to wear to class? Let me know!
Have a great day!!

Obsession: Lilly Pulitzer Wristlets

The wristlets from Lilly Pulitzer are a huge staple here at Wake Forest. They are the perfect size to carry your ID, money, keys, and cell phone! My friends use them to take to class, to go to lunch, and to go to parties. There are also a ton of cute patterns and prints to choose from!

Do y'all have a Lilly wristlet? Let me know!

Have a great day!!

Top 5 College Must-Haves

Hi y'all! I hope everyone had a great weekend. Even though I've only been in college for a little while, I can definitely tell which items I'm going to be using more than others! Here are my top 5 college must-haves!

(1) Rain Boots: I cannot even say how much y'all will need these. In the past couple of days, it has rained a lot here in Winston-Salem, and it pays off to have rain boots!

(2) I like to have my Tervis Tumbler around in case I get thirsty! I also love the Lilly Pulitzer tumblers, they're very popular here!

(3) I use my Longchamp bag every day for class. It's the perfect size, and I have it in navy so it goes with everything! Some of my friends have the waterproof Longchamp which is really nice to have, especially if you get caught in the rain walking to class.

(4) Y'all know my obsession with my Lilly planner, but it really does help me stay organized!

(5) I live in norts. I really do. They are super comfortable and easy!

What are y'alls favorite college items! Let me know!!

Have a lovely day!

Hi y'all! I hope everyone had a fantastic week and I hope that everyone's gamedays went fabulously! Even though I have been to a Wake Forest football game before, it was a TON of fun to go officially as a WF student!

Unfortunately it was raining during the game so my hair did not stay smooth and EVERYTHING got wet, but I had a great time!

The best part about the game was that we WON!

I'll definitely take more pictures for next week's gameday when we play UNC!

Have a great day!!
