Favorite Fall Lilly Looks

Lilly Pulitzer's Fall Collection went live today! Check it out on their website, or in stores! There are some great items that are perfect for your fall wardrobe.

Counting the minutes until I get my hands on the Hayden. We got it in store and everyone I work with died because it's so great! The Arlington is so pretty and reminiscent of Gatsby! I like that Lilly is making a taller heel; perfect for formals! The gold Cross Town and Shopper are perfect for the entire season, and the fact that there's a Murfee in Tusk in the Sun makes me so happy! The Sunset is a new take on the previous Dusk Top, and it's so cute! Lastly, I plan to live in the Black Luxurys. They're so skinny you can tuck them into tall boots; so excited!

What do y'all like from the fall Lilly line? Any thoughts? Let me know!

Have a great week!

For the past 3 months, I've been working at Lilly Pulitzer In Greenwich. I am absolutely obsessed with everyone I work with; they're amazing!

Last night we had a really fun dinner to celebrate our success at the Greenwich Sidewalk Sale. It was great to have us all at the same place at one time!

I can't believe I only have 3 short weeks left, and then it's time to go back to school. I'm going to miss these lovely girls!

Everyone in the Westchester County/Fairfield County area: come visit me! Our store is great and (of course) the Lilly is adorable!

Have a great day!!

Sororities + Social Media

Hi y'all! I'm here today to tell y'all about a great website called Greek Cover Photos. They design custom sorority themed cover photos for your Facebook page, a great way to promote your letters, especially during recruitment!

Greek Cover Photos also has a contest starting today to help decide what 3 sororities will get cover photos made for them next. The sororities that they have designs for currently are ADΠ, AEΦ, AΦ, XΩ, ∆Γ, K∆, KKΓ, Φ∑∑, ΠBΦ, ∑∆T, and ∑K.

Here are some of the cover photos that they have available now!

I'll definitely be voting for ∆∆∆ today!

Check them out and have a great day!

What to Wear: Gameday

Gamedays are huge events in the South, and I am so so so excited for Wake Forest's first football game (AUGUST 29th)!! Going into college, I didn't really know what to expect since my high school didn't have a football team. I didn't know if I should wear a Lilly dress to the game, or the school colors; I also didn't know what to bring with me to the tailgate. But, after my freshman year at Wake I think that I have it all figured out!

Many students in Southern schools dress up for gamedays. It's a great chance to break out your sundresses and cowboy boots! Here are some of my favorite color-organized options for gameday.

blue door boutique dress (past style) | red dress boutique dress | asos mini bandeau sundress

I'm really lucky because Wake's colors are black and gold. I don't have to look very hard to find a cute black dress to wear! Out of the 6 home football games that I went to, I wore a school color-themed dress to 4 of them, and a Lilly dress to the other 2.

Don't forget your sunglasses for the game! I always wore my pearls and monogrammed jewelry on gamedays, as well. Less is more when it comes to packing for a tailgate. A simple crossbody is perfect to fit your student ID, cell phone, and wallet! Lastly, I usually wear cowboy boots to football games. Just make sure they're comfortable and broken in! I hadn't worn my cowboy boots very much before I came to Wake, and I was absolutely miserable when I had to spend an entire day in them on one of my first gamedays.

Here are some clothing websites that I usually turn to for gameday dresses!

I hope this helps y'all! I am counting the days until the first football game, they are literally SO much fun!

Have a great day!

What to Wear: Formal

Here is the second post in my "What to Wear: College" series!

I was stuck in a rut this past semester because I had a very hard time finding things to wear for formals! My spring Tri Delta formal, I decided what I was wearing 2 hours before the actual event! So, for the past month or so since I've been home, I've begun collecting dresses to wear to sorority and fraternity formals!

The J. Crew sequin dress is really loose fitting and relaxed, and I can't wait to wear it! I bought the ASOS and Elise Ryan dresses during the past school year because you can't go wrong with a little black dress! Plus, they're a little bit different than what I would usually wear which is exciting! I wore the Evelyn dress during my senior year of high school, but since then I had it shortened so I don't feel so dressy!

lilly pulitzer preen dress | asos skater dress with sexy halter neck | lilly pulitzer courtin dress (past style) | lilly pulitzer shiloh dress | lilly pulitzer allegra dress (past style) |  badgley mischka silver all-over sequin dress | vestique in sequence dress (past style) | lilly pulitzer jillie dress (past style)

I wore the Vestique dress for a casino themed formal in January...I love it, but it was sooo short! I was kind of uncomfortable dancing, especially shagging, because I felt like I was flashing everyone! The Allegra strapless dress from Lilly is so cute, and I had it shortened because it was about knee length regularly. The Preen dress is one of my summer purchases from the Lilly Greenwich store, and I am SO OBSESSED WITH IT. I was so pleasantly surprised to fall in love with it when I put it on! I've never worn the Jillie Dress before, but it's so pretty and pink! The Courtin dress is sequined, and I love sequins. It's really fun! ASOS is kind of the heaven for all things clothes-related, and I had been loving the red Skater Dress for a while! It finally went on sale at a perfect time. I can't wait to wear it.  I am so so so excited to find a perfect occasion to wear the Badgley Mischka Sequin Dress. It was on Rue-La La and it is absolutely amazing. Lastly, the Shiloh is my absolute favorite! It's my most recent Lilly purchase, and I am beyond obsessed with it. The material is really thick and it fits like a glove!

enzo angiolini merryann pump | lilly pulitzer swingin' on a star heels (old style) | j. crew everly pumps (old style) | kate spade tabbi wedge (old style) | kate spade charm heel | nine west ambitious heel (old style) | cole haan talia pump (old style)

Also, here are some shoes for formals! Kate Spade is my personal favorite for nice heels.

I'm definitely going to wear these dresses this upcoming year of college, so I'll post pictures!

Have a great day!

What to Wear: Sorority Recruitment

One of the best decisions a girl can make going into college is to participate in sorority recruitment.

I had a different experience with rush because Wake Forest has spring recruitment. Our rounds weren't the same as other schools, and the outfits were very different than what girls wear for fall rush. That being said, I've put together some outfits of what I personally think would be good to wear for recruitment. It truly varies school to school the "dress code" for each round, but there are the basic days that I think are pretty standard for each college's recruitment.

As a guideline for each round, I looked at the University of Alabama's greek life website. It's actually very informative!

This is just a basic guideline for what to wear for rush. Every school is different, so I've tried to be very generic in terms of what to wear for each day. Good luck to all the incoming freshman going through recruitment! It is definitely the best decision I've made in college, and I am so thankful for my sorority! I don't know what I would do without the girls I've met since bid day! You really do end up where you're supposed to be (like college), so don't worry and have fun! It all works out in the end.

For those girls who have already been through recruitment, please comment with advice and tips for PNM's!

Have a great day!

Sophomore Year Dorm Bedding!!

I finally chose a bedding for my dorm room next semester! It's probably not much of a surprise to anybody, but I'm going with the Lilly Pulitzer for Garnet Hill bedding in Checking in!

It's so cute, and I like that it's not the simple pink-and-green that I had for my room last year. My roommate and I are going to have a really fun, colorful room and I think that this is a perfect addition to the room!

Have a great day!

Boots on boots on boots

I have been searching for the perfect pair of cowboy boots for a while now and I have finally found what I've been looking for! While I was in Jackson Hole, Wyoming, I went boot shopping with my mother so I can try on all of the pairs of cowboy boots that I had been looking at online. Unfortunately, JH had a much smaller selection of cowboy boots than I had anticipated.

I tried on some Dan Post boots that were perfect....but they were a half size too big! So, I found the style number and looked them up online. They are the Maria boot, and they are just beautiful. They come in three colors: black, brown, and distressed brown. I had a certain amount of money set aside specifically for boots, and it turns out that I had enough for 2 pair of Dan Post boots!

I bought the Bay Dirty Bull boots (shown above) as well as the Antique Tan. The Bay Dirty Bull are slightly a different color than shown in the picture; they are a lot lighter. But, I knew what I was getting into because I tried them on in person. I am so excited to wear them on a regular basis when I get back to Wake! The distressed pair are great for going out, and the shinier, glazed pair are for nicer occasions. I'll definitely be wearing the Bay Dirty Bull pair when I go to the Justin Timberlake concert in New York with my friends next week!

Have a lovely day!

Lilly Pulitzer + Lifeguard Press + Agendas + OCD + HAPPINESS

I cannot get enough of the Lilly for Lifeguard Press agenda in the Tusk in the Sun print! First of all, it's pink and navy. Not the typical bright and crazy Lilly print, but I really like that! It's nice to have a change! Secondly, there are elephants on it. HELLO. ELEPHANTS. It's like a dream come true.

I got the large agenda this year, and I think I'm going to stick to this size. Last year, I ordered the large, but then halfway through the first semester I ordered the jumbo. I used the large for academic scheduling, and the jumbo for social events. I am OCD about my agendas, I didn't have enough room for everything in one agenda, and I have REALLY large those are my excuses for being crazy for getting two Lilly planners.

It's really nice this year that the dividers are laminated! Mine would always get bent in my tote bag.

I have already started to write things in, but it's tricky because I don't really know anything that's going on in August yet! Also, notice my not-so-subtle countdown to when I get to go back to Wake?

What agenda/print did y'all order? Let me know!

Have a great weekend!

Obsession: Lululemon

I finally gave in to the Lululemon craze...and now I can never go back.

The first pair of Lululemon leggings that I bought were the wunder under crop. They are incredibly slimming and really comfortable! I was so confused when I first went into the store because there was literally a wall of a million different styles of leggings. The lady at the Greenwich store was so nice and she helped me find the perfect pair!

The next pair I plan on getting are the wunder under pants. I just love the "wunder under" style so much! Plus, I like that I can wear these as regular leggings in the fall.

The only downside to Lululemon is that it is so dang expensive! It is definitely an investment for workout clothes, but the quality is truly unmatched.

Do y'all have anything from Lululemon? What are y'alls favorite items? Let me know!

Have a great day!!

I can never leave home without...

Here are some of the essential items that I always have with me!

I'm a total tote bag girl (I have yet to fall in love with a good purse), and my navy Longchamp has to be my favorite. I bought my lobster iPhone case at Monkees right by Wake Forest (take me back!) and I have gotten so many compliments on it! I loooove Ray Ban aviators, and I bought the plastic aviators at the beginning of the summer. I can't take them off! Now that I'm not at college, I'm not using my Lilly Pulitzer wristlet as much, so I've switched it for a small Kate Spade wallet. I drink Diet Coke like it's my job...even though I'm trying to cut back...but I pretty much always have one with me! I have really cute keychains for my car key, like this Lilly shift dress keychain that was a gift with purchase a while ago. Lastly, I've replaced my usual chapstick for lip stain. It lasts forever!

I can honestly say I wear pearl earrings to everything. My silver signet ring is all banged up because I don't think I've taken it off since I got it for graduation last year! I bought myself the Yurman bracelet as a reward for post-freshman year weight loss, and I love love LOVE it! I replaced my tortoiseshell watch for a gold watch, and it goes with everything!

What do y'all have to have with you? Let me know!

Have a great day!

Obsession: Lilly Pants

I'm going to preface this post by saying that I hate trying on pants. I will literally do anything not to go pant shopping. I only have leggings and shorts. I have no jeans, and up until 2 weeks ago, I didn't have any white pants for summer. I turn into a royal biatch when I have to try on pants...and I know I sound ridiculous, but I cannot be the only one who goes crazy about their legs when shopping for pants. Unfortunately, it gets a little tiring wearing a dress every day, so I gave in and tried on some pants at Lilly Pulitzer

I AM OBSESSED. Actually obsessed with both of these pairs of pants. The Jet Set trouser is a little long, and I bought them with not enough time to get them hemmed since I was about to go on vacation. So, I just wore really tall wedges and they look amazing! The Luxury Capri is literally the perfect white pant. It ends at the perfect length, and they're tight but not cutting-off-your-circulation tight. They are made in a stretchy material that feels so comfortable and looks great! It pretty much feels like you're wearing leggings. I don't have a butt and I am not happy with my thighs, but these pants are SO FLATTERING! I've worn them soo much since I bought them. They are dry clean only, which is a little bit of a hassle, but it's definitely worth it.

Now I just need to find some jeans! If only Lilly made both pair of pants in denim!

Have a great day!!

Dorm Room Checklist

Hi y'all! I'm spending the entire day today flying back to Connecticut from Jackson basically, I have to go back to reality! There are 47 days until I have to go back to Wake, so now I have to start preparing for the back to school drive and move-in day! Here is the packing list that I am going to be using (minus the clothes part) for going to college!

I hope that this helps the incoming freshman who read this blog!

Have a great day!!
